Film vs DxO Film Looks
For as much as I have tried I have never been able to get software film looks to actually look like film. Here are my best attempts using some film looks from DxO in DxO Optics Pro. These "looks" don't even come close to the color pallet, saturation, or contrast of the film they are trying to simulate. Take a look below and decide for yourself. When I scan my slides I use a 5000k light table and adjust the color, saturation, and contrast to get the image as close as possible to what I see on the light table. Interestingly, the closest match to real E100VS below is the Generic Kodachrome 64 look. The E100VS film looks aren't even in the ball park.
