Multiple Wired Flash w Nikon F4s

Photography using multiple flashes is taken for granted today. Using several wireless flashes all controlled by on camera digital processors and light meters you get a perfectly exposed image almost every time. In the old days it required calculations using handheld light meters or just working with guide numbers and distance. I decided to see what I could do with my 1988 vintage Nikon F4s and a multiple wired TTL flash setup using an SB800 and SB600. It was pretty simple.......... once I decided to read the manuals for the flashes. The camera needs to be set to either M or A exposure mode for the shot. Mount the SB800 on the F4s and turn on the camera and flash. Set the SB800 remote mode to SU-4. Make sure the SB600 is turned off and connect it to the SB800 using a TTL cable. Turn on the SB600 and turn off the Auto Standby mode. You’re now ready to shoot. Adjust your flash compensation as necessary for your shot and off you go. These shots all came out perfectly exposed. Sometimes the dogs are the only ones willing to pose for my “testing”.

Missed the focus on this a little. His eyes are still in the zone but his nose is completely out.....
