Dublin Robotics Competition - 2011
Vidalia's J.R. Trippe Middle School robotics team, 'Short Circuit', mentored by Jeff Ikner won first place out of fifteen teams at the Lego Robotics Competition in Dublin, Georgia on December 3rd, 2011. This was especially significant since it was the first competition experience for each member of the team.

Picture Info: I purchased my first compact digital camera this week, a Canon S95 that arrived the day before this competition. I decided to take it with me to the competition as my only camera and leave all my film and DSLR gear at home. All of the shots below were taken with the S95. It was nice not lugging all the SLR gear around and being able to stuff my camera in a pocket. This little camera is the perfect travel companion and performed well in ambient mixed lighting. All of the shots were taken in the Canon RAW format CR2 and converted using DxO Optics Pro. I also shot about 30 minutes of video that turned out well.
